Enter a new player to the adult video game market in the form of Wild Life; a brand new fantasy adventure RPG complete with stunning cinematic visuals and sophisticated fluid dynamics.

In this feature we take a closer look at one of the most exciting new adult games currently being developed.
From how to support the project and become an active member of the Wild Life community to news of when the game will be officially released, we’ll review what to expect from this indie studio.
What is the Wild Life Game?
Wild Life is the latest adult game to be crowdfunded through the subscription content platform Patreon.
It is currently the 7th most popular adult game available on the site and is currently receiving funding of around $100k per month.
With a following of almost 9,000 patrons, Wild Life has been in development through the site since April 2016 and is attracting a lot of attention.
Beyond Patreon, the game has also established a wide following across its social media channels including picking up 17,000+ subscribers on YouTube and 22,000+ followers on Twitter.
Led by ‘Adeptus Steve’, the Wild Life team is an independent German studio made up of 16 designers, developers and creators.
Originally a two-man outfit, the team is now operating full time to create one of the most visually exciting and graphically rich NSFW games to come to market.
Design of Wild Life
Wild Life is planned to be an open-world fantasy RPG with sex simulation and an adventure-filled storyline.
Though still very much in development, it is going to be a vast fantasy realm in which players can explore in free-roaming mode, completing missions or just embracing a new opportunity for fantasy sex simulation.
Ostensibly a character driven fantasy-action game with lots of fighting, you must ensure your own survival as you explore the limits of this diverse landscape.
The developers describe the game:
“In a world very different from ours, life was relatively peaceful between the tribal people in touch with the lush nature around them and the creatures roaming the woods and vast landscapes.”
Sounds idyllic so far but it wouldn’t be much of an adventure game without some conflict:
“The balance shifted when foreigners from different worlds discovered the unspoiled environment and its inhabitants. Rogue criminals and vagabonds came to seek fortune and make a living by hunting and killing the majestic creatures and searching for rare, precious materials.
That’s more like it, some vagabonds and criminals to add some tension and danger, but….
Not only criminals developed an interest for the world, noble scholars started studying the world. They document and research the creatures and tribal people looking for ancient relics, witnesses to the times that were.
Of course, with the game still in development still, the possibilities are endless for just how big and expansive the game’s options will end up being.
The Landscape
An uncharted planet, the world created by the Wild Life team is one of sun-soaked deserts and fertile forests, coastal plains, villages and oases and of course, because you CAN FLY, azure skies and golden horizons.
The Characters
There is already an impressive cast of characters inhabiting the Wild Life world and these have been meticulously rendered in awesome detail and with fluidity of motion that is almost unrivaled in the NSFW games market.
First up, you have a whole host of tribal humans, both male:

Each of the characters have their own styles and unique traits but can be further customized through the game so users can change things like their clothes, body shape, facial expressions and even their names.
In addition to the humans, there are also fantasy characters called Kerpali. These vary quite a bit from minotaur or goatmen style creatures to furry type characters.
The Sex
As part of the game, the characters can interact with one another sexually and there has been a lot of development on a variety of sexual positions and transitions including both heterosexual and homosexual content.
Humans can have sex with humans as well as Kerpali with unique and shared animations including:

Development of the Wild Life Game
The Wild Life game is being developed with Unreal Engine 4 by Epic Games and is currently only compatible with Microsoft Windows (sorry Mac users!).
The technology in use has allowed the team to push the current limits on what a XXX game can deliver with the use of cinematic camera angles, high definition graphics and sophisticated modeling to create a huge range of realistic sex positions.
And, the studio is not just spending its crowdfunding creating a visually stunning game but there is just as much time and effort being spent on character development and storylines.
The end-result promises to be an incredibly complex and cutting-edge experience that will be hard to beat.
Despite the current coronavirus lockdown measures, the team at Wild Life are still developing content from home and the latest update from their YouTube channel shows that the game is continuing to receive upgrades, tweaks, new characters and bug fixes.
Playing Wild Life
So, if the game isn’t finished, what exactly are people funding and when can you play Wild Life?
Okay, first of all whilst the game isn’t finished you can already play Wild Life by supporting the development project through Patreon and downloading the game using Mega.
There are several membership levels to choose from, each giving you different benefits for varying prices:
- Tipper – $1 per month: Access to hi-res promotional screen shots, exclusive news about development and entry to the Wild Life Discord site.
- Patron – $10 per month: All of the above benefits plus access to uncensored game builds, breakdowns and tips as well as news on developments.
- Member – $25 per month: All of the above plus early access to new builds and experimental game features as well as your name in the credits and the ability to contribute to developments.
- Investor – $50 per month: All of the above plus access to a private channel with the development team to help steer the project.
- Eccentric – $100 per month: All of the above plus special credit and custom animation pose.
You can play the game in your choice of modes, either as a free roam to explore the expansive world that the team has created or by starting quests.
You take on the role of one of the main characters and you can interact with others as you progress through your tasks.
The tribal characters can all fly and there is something very addictive about spreading your wings and taking to the sky but, be warned, you can crash into things and DIE if you don’t quickly work out how to control your flight!
Tasks range for finding things, hunting things, attacking things and discovering places but all quests have the added dangers of potential combat situations so you will need to quickly work out how to draw your weapon and fight.
Obviously, there are also plenty of opportunities to interact with characters in a far less violent and more intimate kind of way.
And this is where the ‘adult’ nature of the Wild Life game gets interesting. Once you get into a situation where sex is on the cards then a pop-up menu will appear giving you the usual kinds of control over how the action unfolds.
From pose variation to speed and cam, these options will all be familiar to anyone who has ever played a sex sim game.
The storyline itself develops as you choose with dialogue giving you options about how to respond and it is expected that this will only get more complex and sophisticated as the project advances.
There are already plenty of customization tools to give players the options to make the game more bespoke and this is an area which is seeing rapid development. New costumes are being added all the time along with tweaks to character poses, body, hair, eyes, skin etc.
Wild Life: Is It Any Good?
Since the Patreon funding project reached its goal of raising $100k, development of the game has accelerated and the addition of a senior art director and concept design team is evident in the way Wild Life has evolved since 12 months ago.
With an experienced team on board this game is showing signs of becoming something pretty epic when it’s finished, and who’s to say it ever will be 100% complete.
With all great gaming franchises there is always a sequel and new additions to be made; which is what you can expect from the Wild Life game.
At the current stage, there is enough evidence to suggest that the game itself is visually stunning and offers fans of NSFW sex sims enough diversion for it to be an enjoyable adult game.
However, there are new markets to be reached with this title as it is the playable storylines and satisfying adventure capabilities that, ultimately, give it an extended shelf life. We could easily see the game becoming more mainstream although maybe in a less XXX version.
When you play the game, it’s easy to see the influence of the work experience the design team has had through their involvement with some of the staff having a hand in successful titles like Overwatch, Kill Zone and Crysis.
With combat scenes and full action-adventure at the heart of this game, it is easy to forget (at times) that this is an adult RPG at all. In fact, when we started exploring Wild Life, it was ages before we tried the sex functionality.
Its difficult at this stage to determine exactly how good this game is going to get but what is obvious, even from the limits of the current launch, is that Wild Life could be a bit of a gamechanger.
The price of the game and date of full release is yet to be confirmed but we will be watching developments closely as this is one new game that you are not going to want to miss.
