In this review we take a closer look at the popular adult adventure/RPG game that is Hentai Heroes and find out how to play, what it costs and what you can expect from this sexy little title.

What is Hentai Heroes?

Hentai Heroes (or Harem Heroes) is developed by Kinkoid and is just one of three games the team has produced for the popular adult gaming platform Nutaku.

An independent adult game studio based in France, Kinkoid has a deep love of Manga and this passion shows in the artwork they produce for their games.

Hentai Heroes itself is a harem building game with elements of casual clicker and visual novel combined with some RPG and battle-modes. It’s one of the better hentai games we’ve seen recently.

Though relatively simple in design it has some complex gameplay with many hundreds of levels to achieve offering hours of satisfaction.

Playing the Hentai Heroes Game

The premise of the game itself is pretty simple.

You take on the role of the main character who has been transported through a magic portal to the Haremverse, a world inhabited by sex-mad, cock hungry women all desperate to join a harem.

Quite by chance you receive a package containing a magic fruit which, of course, you eat.

This gives you special sexual powers but, alas, it was not intended for you. Accidentally you have caused some diplomatic war with a neighboring harem owner who wants to go to battle with you.

In order to do this you will need to build you your harem of girls, teach them a thing or two about sex and upgrade their skills before going to head-to-head to become  the most powerful harem in the land.

Sounds pretty simple, right?

Well, in addition to this you have daily and weekly activities to complete and events to take part in with your club.

Did we mention that? Yes, when you have collected enough girls you are eligible to join a social network of other members in order to combine forces.

Part social network and part global challenge, you can track your team’s progress in the national and international leaderboard area.

In essence, there are four elements to the way you play/enjoy Hentai Heroes:

• Visual Novel – The narrative of how you explore this land and recruit women to your harem is rich in dialogue and impressive with beautifully depicted adult content. There are no multiple choices in these scenes but you just click ‘Next’ to scroll through the story.
• Character Development – Each of your harem ladies needs to have gifts lavished upon them to increase their Affection levels plus you must buy and apply skill books to boost their powers.
• Battles – When you hit the Arena to undertake a Public Sexual Performance battle you must strategically choose your top three sex fighters (or your Orgy Team) based on the strengths and weaknesses of your opponents. Do this well and you will win but choose unwisely and your ladies will suffer crushing defeat.
• Mini Games, Events and Activities – To advance in the game, win rewards and bonuses including exclusive new girls for your harem you must take part and complete a series of little challenges.

Navigation for the game is all done via a map which allows you to explore your hometown:

The Adventure Portal takes you through to the rest of Haremverse where you can explore this strange land to complete quests, find and recruit new ladies and win new challenges.

Playing Hentai Heroes is completely free but you will need to register an account with that by providing an email address and choosing a unique username. It’s available on both Nutaku, as well as rival site EroGames.

The game can be completed without making any in-game purchases but these are available if you want to advance faster or upgrade your gaming experience. The in-game currency is Kobans and these can be purchased in bundles from as little as $5.

You can also sign up for regular monthly membership which will give you daily Kobans as well as additional bonuses.

Hentai Heroes Review: Our Verdict

There’s plenty to like about this title and not much we can grumble about but, seeing as how you asked, let’s kick off with some negatives.

First up, there are no SFX or voice acting in this game and, although there is a theme tune which plays continuously in the background, the lack of atmosphere does make the sex a little ‘soulless’ at times.

Surely a bit of generic moaning isn’t out of the budget? Even if you could toggle it ON/OFF, it might make it more appealing.

Secondly, the initial walkthroughs and first 10-15 levels are pretty tedious to get through. We totally understand the need for a tutorial intro for any game but this one seems to go on forever and you can’t just ‘Skip’ through this quickly.

And that’s it for the downsides really, everything else is all pretty damn good.

The game is free to play and easy to access without having to install any bulky downloads and it doesn’t use up an awful lot of RAM or make your PC go super-slow.

The hentai artwork is hardcore and very nicely put together without any blurred genitals or censorship. The same goes for the dialogue and narrative, this is certainly XXX.

Gameplay is also more extensive than you’d think from such a simple looking game and there are always plenty of ways to get involved from collecting your income and completing quests to battling in the arena, exploring the Haremverse and taking part in regular events.

And, if you run out of energy or Kobans then you can always hit the forum to join in the discussions whilst you wait for things to re-energize.

There is a good community aspect to the game which makes it more interesting than some casual adult games we’ve played and being part of a team does help.

What’s more, there are lots of community forums and groups set up all over the internet where players are sharing hints, tips and hacks for getting the most out of the game. Fans seem to love bragging about their harems and showing off their own fan-art.

Overall, if you are a fan of adult Japanese-style animation and artwork then Hentai Heroes will deliver in bundles.

For gamers, this isn’t a seriously challenging title but it does give you more to do than many casual games.

So, we think that if you are opting for an easy little game to while away some spare time each day then you won’t go far wrong with choosing Hentai Heroes.
