6 Games With Sex Mods: Which Mainstream Titles Have Adult Mods?

Published on:

We’ve covered hundreds of adult games here on AdultVisor. You don’t have to look far to find explicit porn games in 2024. But for some developers, purpose-built sex games are too boring. Too easy.

If you really wanna get your kicks, what better way than to take a mainstream video game… and corrupt the shit out of it with a sex mod?

NSFW modding breaks down those PG barriers. This community exists for the type of gamer who plays The Sims and instinctively thinks: “You know what would make this better? Cum flying everywhere.

I still remember when the launch of Skyrim Special Edition was preceded by the release of its dirty nude mod – two full days before the real thing hit the market!

Never underestimate the ability of a dedicated dev to inject smut in to your favorite franchise.

In this guide, we take a look at some of the most notorious adult game mods.

6 Mainstream Video Games with Sex Mods

Games with Sex Mods

Traditionally, the point of modding video games is to enhance or alter the gaming experience beyond what’s officially available. This includes adding new features, improving graphics, fixing bugs, or introducing entirely new content that the original developer could never have foreseen.

Well, you only need look at the abundance of parody porn games to see that there’s a big demand for NSFW versions of our favorite mainstream titles.

Grand Bang Auto, anyone?!

There’s an entire community for NSFW game modding which exists solely to provide an adult twist on the games you already love. Here are the most famous of the bunch:

1. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Skyrim Sex Mod
One of many dirty mods for Skyrim Special Edition, via Nexus Mods

It’s practically obligatory that we start with The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, which has to be the most heavily sex-modded game in history.

Since the release of Special Edition in 2016, the game has become a kind of canvas for modders, with its vast, open-world fantasy setting providing an ideal backdrop for various types of modifications.

A quick look on Nexus Mods or LoverLabs reveals a truly mindboggling array of sex mods that can turn this RPG’s game world in to a distinctly slutty affair. The most famous is SexLab, a collection of unique add-ons that turns the residents of Skyrim in to shag-happy hedonists.

Load up this bad boy and you can have sex with pretty much anybody you encounter throughout the game world. It’s got everything from prostitution to pregnancy.

At my last check, over 12% of the collections on Nexus Mods are made specifically for Skyrim. Not all of those mods are sexual or nudity-based, but it’s hard to think of a game that comes close for the sheer scale of dirty add-on content.

2. Fallout 4

Fallout 4 adult mod

Fallout 4 was developed by Bethesda Game Studios, the same dev behind Skyrim (and the rest of the heavily modded Elder Scrolls series).

True to form, it’s gotten the same porno makeover treatment, too.

Fallout 4 is another roleplaying title, but this time set in a modern post-apocalyptic world. Think guns, destruction, massive piles of rubble and massive pairs of user-customised tits.

There’s a raft of adult mods to play with, including the expansive Advanced Animation Framework (AAF). This gives you access to everything from sex animations and full nudity, to BDSM torture devices and NPC pregnancy systems. The spectrum of mods goes from vanilla and playful… to brutal and kinky.

Fallout 4 is not the only entry in the series to get a NSFW overhaul. Devs have also gone to town on Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. However, both of those titles are a generation older, so you can expect a notable drop in graphics quality.

3. The Sims 4

Wicked Whims The Sims

In many ways, The Sims is the perfect sandbox for adult modding.

The game has always dabbled with sexual themes, but it has traditionally used euphemisms and the player’s imagination to depict actual sex: or more accurately, a system known as WooHoo. We never actually got to see the intercourse, forced to settle instead for an explosion of love hearts, a bouncy bed and the epically PG “Try For Baby” instruction.

This all changed with the introduction of the Wicked Whims sex mod.

Now you can force your Sim to undress, switch between sex positions, and even “apply cum” to other Sims. We’re not talking a couple of janky positions like those found on YaReel, either. This adult mod packs in over 10,000 user-created animations, with custom props (hello strap-ons), as well as full Lifestyle choices.

Want to become an Exhibitionist? A Nudist? How about giving your Sim the cum slut trait?

It’s all possible in a package that ranks up there as one of the most infamous adult mods of all time.

It never ceases to amaze me what DLCs Maxis comes out with to milk this cash cow, but I think it’s safe to say: you’re not going to see this one appearing on Steam anytime soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

4. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Girls

I know what you’re thinking.

Come on, man… how do you turn a quirky innocent farming simulator in to a lewd game?

The answer is very easily, with a simple trip over to Nexus Mods. The flagship adult mod for this title is the aptly named Xtardew Valley. It injects a raft of adult content in to our lovable little crop and livestock management sim. For obvious reasons, it’s not the most graphic of the additions on this list. I mean, we’re talking 16-bit animations after all.

Squint hard enough and you might just about be able to depict your favorite farm girl getting roasted, but the real benefit of this mod is the complete overhaul of the dialogue sequences as you explore Pelican Town. It’s out with the PG, and in with the kinky solicitation.

Xtardew Valley is not the only NSFW mod for this game. Valley Girls packs in some nude horny NPCs, and Devious Valley unleashes a series of gay sexual encounters amongst the male population.

Proof, if you needed it, that no genre is safe from adult modders…

5. GTA: San Andreas

Rockstar has just revealed the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. While fans of the legendary series are busy speculating what will (or won’t) be possible in the re-imagined Vice City, one thing I’d bet on is the developers won’t make the same mistake they did with San Andreas… when they forgot to remove an explicit sex scene.

Oopsie. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Yep, an early build of San Andreas contained a side-mission called Hot Coffee where main character CJ could have sex with his girlfriend. This wasn’t just a random cut-scene either, but a fully playable mini-game where we could control CJ’s rhythm and rig up his ‘excitement’ meter.

For obvious reasons, the mini-game was axed before the game was released. But that didn’t stop crafty devs from uncovering and reviving the buried code (which Rockstar had presumably decided was ‘bad for business’):

GTA Sex Mod (hidden code)

Who needs adult mods when Rockstar is leaving dirty little freebies like this?!

Alas, the discovery caused quite a furore back then, but it didn’t stop a factory line of other strictly unofficial GTA adult mods, including an extremely dubious ‘Fuck Any Pedestrian‘ mod. Stack these together and CJ turns in to a very very naughty boy.

6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I’ve been a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series for over 20 years. As nostalgic as I get for Sons of Liberty on the PS2, The Phantom Pain might just be the biggest banger of them all.

This is an awesome open-world romp through Soviet-occupied Afghanistan, but did you know that it’s also the source of some cult hit sex mods?!

Take The Quiet Nude mod, for example:

The Quiet Nude Mod

I wouldn’t put it past Hideo Kojima to hide some naked snipers in the game world; it seems the sort of risquรฉ Easter egg he’d like. But there’s no hiding the sexiness in this unofficial mod, which turns one of the game’s hit female protagonists in to… well, a nude version of herself.

If you’ve played Phantom Pain before, the prospect of a nude Quiet might just be the tonic to get you rebooting for another playthrough. Twitching at the thought, mate. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nexus has around 40 adult mods for MGS5 — most focused on ‘fine-tuning’ or removing clothes.

What’s The Difference Between Sex Mods and 18+ DLCs?

When you dive down the rabbit hole of the adult game modding community, you might be left with the question: “Why don’t developers cash in on this demand for themselves?”

Well, the answer is that some of them do.

Some ‘mainstream’ games have developers who are more than willing to provide official support for nudity and sexual content. The way they achieve this is by releasing additional 18+ DLC packs.

If you head over to our pick of the top adult games on Steam, you’ll note that several of the titles require the purchase of an additional 18+ DLC. And you’ll need to be age-verified to access this, since Steam is pretty strict on adult content.

Without the DLC, you don’t get to see any nudity. So you’ll have to pay again to unlock the smut. And in some cases, the adult DLCs cost more than the base game itself!

Crush Crush Naughty DLC
Want the naughty Crush Crush content? Get your wallet out!

Official produced DLCs have the benefit of being much easier to download and play. If you read some of the instructions for the games above, you’ll need a good understanding of how modding works to avoid royally fucking up your installation (it goes without saying, these are for PC gamers only).

Even seasoned vets have problems and hiccups getting the modded games to work as intended, and the problem is exasperated when you start stacking multiple mods.

When you go with the officially produced 18+ DLCs through platforms like Steam, the content is professionally produced, adhering to certain standards and fitting within the game’s overall narrative and aesthetic. Of course, there are pros and cons to this arrangement.

Some developers will merely pay lip service to their adult content, whereas a mod like Wicked Whims for The Sims is crafted with love and fan service by gamers who do an amazing job of anticipating what the user wants in a porno spin-off.

It’s also a question of branding, right?

If you are Eric Barone, do you really want to spunk your reputation up the wall on a dirty version of a much-loved wholesome title like Stardew Valley?

Some game mods are best left to the imagination of their filthiest fans. ๐Ÿ˜‰
